Every year since 2013, the Institut Pasteur has honored its PhD students at a formal celebratory event.

The 2025 ceremony for PhD students who defended their thesis during the 2024-2025 academic year will be held on Friday December 12, 2025, at 3pm, in the CIS auditorium.

The Institut Pasteur is delighted to welcome Prof. Miriam Merad, Director of the Precision Immunology Institute at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, New York, as guest speaker at the event.
 

À cette occasion, l’Institut Pasteur aura l’honneur d’accueillir Prof. Miriam Merad, directrice du Precision Immunology Institute à l’Icahn School of Medicine du Mount Sinai à New York, qui donnera une conférence en tant qu’invitée d’honneur.


The ceremony will also be attended by Institut Pasteur President Yasmine Belkaid, Monica Sala, Director of the Education Department, Rebecca Grais, Executive Director of the Pasteur Network, and Cecilia Patitucci, Head of the International PhD Programs Office.

Every graduate will have one minute and one slide to share their experience before they are officially presented with their PhD certificate from the Institut Pasteur.
The ceremony will feature a number of musical interludes, with the participation of the group "From Far Away," Lady Pipette, and the Institut Pasteur's brass band "Les enragés." It will be followed by a buffet reception.

All Institut Pasteur staff members are welcome to attend the ceremony. Registration is required.
