Conflict in Ukraine: offers to host Ukrainian scientists at Institut Pasteur laboratories in Paris published online – Latest news and additional information on the essential supplies collection

As announced last week, the Institut Pasteur is taking action to support the scientists and people of Ukraine. Starting this week, it is offering to host scientists, and it has also organized a collection of essential supplies.

Hosting Ukrainian scientists

More than 60 laboratories on our campus have volunteered to host Ukrainian scientists so that they can continue to use their experience and skills to serve the biomedical research community by contributing to the research conducted in their host laboratory.

The Institut Pasteur invite them to make direct contact with the head of a host laboratory to discuss potential avenues for collaboration (see the list and contacts here), which will then be reviewed and submitted to the Institut Pasteur's Department of Scientific Affairs for a final decision.

Participation in the international solidarity effort

Since Monday March 21, many of you have contributed to the collection of supplies organized on campus in conjunction with the mairie (town hall) in Paris' 15th arrondissement. Following this first week, the collection will continue next week. A list of priority needs (food, hygiene items, etc.) can be found here. The organizers would particularly encourage you to donate hygiene items if possible.

You can bring your items for the collection from Monday March 28 and every day next week from 12 noon to 2pm on the ground floor of the CIS building.

The supplies will be delivered to the mairie, or town hall, of the 15th arrondissement, which will arrange for them to be sent to Ukraine.
