Strategic plan priority 1: Take part in the POPCORN study and spread the word among your contacts

In connection with Scientific Priority 1 – "Infectious disease threats" in the Pasteur 2030 Strategic Plan, a team from the Epidemiology of Emerging Diseases Unit has launched the POPCORN study, aimed at improving our understanding of changes in attitudes and practices regarding preventive measures such as vaccination, reduced physical contact, use of mosquito repellent and mask wearing.

The results will help boost epidemic preparedness by improving communications and recommendations in the event of an emerging infectious disease.

The research team is aiming to recruit more than 4,000 participants to reach its objectives.

Anyone over the age of 18 living in France can take part in the study by completing four online questionnaires over an 18-month period. Each questionnaire will take around 15 minutes. The data collected will be anonymized. Participants can join the study at any time.

The first questionnaire, launched on November 21, is open until December 21, 2025.
