Bulletin interne de l'Institut Pasteur
In the current context, as we are witnessing major threats of various types – from terrorism to cybercrime and interference –, the Institut Pasteur is committed to pursuing and strengthening the security master plan that it adopted in 2014. Over the past two years in particular, several key phases of the plan have been launched and developed.
In early 2020, the phase aimed at improving video surveillance and overhauling the network infrastructure was launched. This work was completed in early December 2021.
At the beginning of 2021, the next phase was launched to improve control systems:
- strengthening access control by adding new readers,
- strengthening information security for the access control system,
- strengthening intrusion detection (interior and perimeter detection by adding a door contact sensor),
- strengthening passive protection (installing security railings, replacing doors, locking openable windows, adding wire mesh partitions, etc.),
- modernizing the Security Operations Center.
The rollout of this phase of work which began in 2021 will take place as follows:
- by February 2022: completion of rollout on number 25 side
- throughout 2022: rollout on number 28 side
- from January 2023: replacement of key locks by keyless electronic door locks
