LEGAL

Publication of the first issue of Legal Corner, the magazine for Institut Pasteur staff by the Legal Affairs Department

The Legal Affairs Department has launched a magazine entitled Legal Corner with the aim of shining a new light on legal and ethical issues and connecting more closely with all staff on campus. This new publication, written in an accessible and easy-to-understand way, covers a selection of real-world topical subjects that resonate with your concerns.

Much like the efforts to bring science closer to non-scientists, the Legal Affairs Department wants to make its own area of expertise more accessible and to spark your interest, bring a smile to your face and make you think!

Legal Corner will be published twice a year on the Legal Affairs Department space on Webcampus.

Coming up in this first issue:

Editorial: Message from Samuel Valcke, Vice-President Legal Affairs

Fake news: Publish now, worry about the patent later

News: HeLa cells and Thermo Fisher

Legal DNA: What is free software?

Focus: Ethics and law: what's the difference?

The word: Mutatis mutandis: what does it mean?

News: Artificial intelligence as inventor?

And as a bonus, a focus on the Nagoya Protocol in France.
