Light shed on SARS-CoV-2 replication in bat cells

Bats are reservoir species for numerous viruses including coronaviruses. Given that they do not appear to be affected by diseases transmitted by these viruses, there is potential benefit in understanding how their immune system regulates infection. Scientists at the Institut Pasteur and the CNRS studied SARS-CoV-2 replication in bat cells, which involved using real-time imaging techniques for the first time.

Reminder of the Occupational Health Department recommendations in the event of high temperatures during the summer period

In the event of extreme high temperatures during the summer period, we would remind you that the Occupational Health Department recommends taking special care if the temperature of your surroundings exceeds 30°C. Hot summer weather can be unpleasant for those working at the Institut Pasteur in buildings with no air conditioning or subject to air-conditioning outages, particularly since masks are currently compulsory on campus.
