Marc Lecuit, winner of the 2017 Duquesne Award

The René & Andrée Duquesne Award reflects Andrée Duquesne's commitment and support for scientific research. In her will, Mrs. Duquesne named the Institut Pasteur and the Ligue Contre le Cancer – Paris committee as joint residuary legatees of her estate.

This year's award went to Marc Lecuit, head of the Institut Pasteur's Biology of Infection Unit, alongside Edith Heard, head of the Genetics and Developmental Biology Unit at the Institut Curie.

The Duquesne Award was presented on September 18.
