Bulletin interne de l'Institut Pasteur
Each year, the Institut Pasteur (IP) gives a number of prizes to scientists who have made a major contribution to research. The cash awards included with the prizes are funded by generous donors.
The Pasteur Vallery-Radot Prize was established by Jacqueline Pasteur Vallery-Radot, the wife of Louis Pasteur's grandson. She chose the National Library of France (BnF) as the residuary legatee of her estate and the prize is awarded from the capital of her legacy every year.
Since 2007, the Pasteur Vallery-Radot Prize is awarded to two Institut Pasteur researchers (under the age of 50 on January 1 of the following year) for research results of important impact in biology, physics or chemistry achieved over the last 5 years.
There are two cash prizes for laureates, each worth €16,000.
The call for nominations for the 2024 Pasteur Vallery-Radot Prize is now open and you are invited to nominate a candidate (permanent scientist working on campus for more than 5 years, under 50 yo.).
The deadline for submitting your nominations is February 16, 2024 (6pm).
Prize characteristics, eligibility criteria, the nomination form and the list of past laureates are available here.
