• Remote Zotero training on Thursday September 12, 2024, from 5 to 7pm* in English
Zotero is a free open-source bibliography management application. Come along and discover the features you can use to manage your bibliographical references in a simple, intuitive way, and also find out what sets Zotero apart from other tools.
Aims of the training:
• Importing references
• Managing references
• Inserting references in a Word document
• Sharing references with the Groups function
This training session is aimed at anyone who needs to manage or format bibliographical references and more generally wants to find out how Zotero works.
It will take place remotely (via Microsoft Teams) in English.
An attendance certificate will be provided on request.

• Remote training: EndNote for beginners, level 1, Wednesday September 18, 2024 from 2 to 5pm* (in English)
Come along and discover (or improve your knowledge of) EndNote 20 and find out how to save time when compiling a bibliography.
The session is a mixture of theory and practical hands-on training during which you can learn how to import references from databases, create and manage reference files, insert citations into a text and format a bibliography with the latest version of EndNote. Don't stress – just sign up!

• Learn how to manage your bibliography with the EndNote tool
• Master the main features of the software
This training session is aimed at anyone who needs to manage and format bibliographical references and is keen to find out about EndNote or remind themselves of how it works.

• In-person training: PubMed/My NCBI, Thursday September 19, 2024, from 2 to 5pm* (in French)
Anyone can find their way around the basics of PubMed, but we are offering you the chance to go further by getting to know the ins and outs of the tool and making the best use of the features and tips available. You will learn about all the possibilities related to your personal My NCBI account.
Aims of the training:
• Master the features of PubMed
• Evaluate the relevance of results by interpreting the search strategy applied by PubMed
• Customize PubMed features by creating and configuring a My NCBI account
This training session is aimed at anyone who has to perform searches in PubMed.
The training is aimed at beginners, those who already know how to find their way around PubMed and those with more advanced knowledge of the tool.
It will take place in person and be in French.

• Remote training: Managing open access to publications: challenges, ecosystem and policies adopted by institutions and research funders on Thursday September 19, 2024 from 9:30 to 11:30am* (in French)
In its Charter for Open Access to Publications, the Institut Pasteur has set itself the target of 100% of publications published as open access. It has introduced the system of submitting publications to the HAL-Pasteur open access archive, with the COMESP using this as part of its appraisal policy for scientists.

Aims of the training
This course will help you:
• Understand the challenges and issues related to open access and the open access ecosystem
• Know how to comply with the open access policies adopted by the Institut Pasteur and research funders.
Topics covered:
• The scientific publication cycle
• File formats and reuse rights
• Roads to open access and related costs
• The importance of open archives
• Bibliodiversity and Diamond open access
• Open access policies adopted by institutions and funding bodies
The training is open to all without any prior requirements.
It will take place remotely in French.
