New research units set up
- Creation of the Malaria Infection and Immunity Unit
Following the favorable opinion issued by the Scientific Council in June 2015, the Malaria Infection and Immunity (Infection et immunité paludéennes) Unit – one of the projects submitted under the 2014 call for proposals – was set up as of October 1, 2015.
This unit, part of the Department of Parasites and Insect Vectors, will be directed by Rogerio Amino, a Research Associate at the Institut Pasteur.
The unit will be set up for a first 5-year term which will run through to September 30, 2020.

- Creation of the RNA Biology of Fungal Pathogens Unit
Following the favorable opinion issued by the Scientific Council in June 2015, the RNA Biology of Fungal Pathogens (Biologie des ARN des pathogènes fongiques) Unit - one of the projects submitted under the 2014 call for proposals - was set up as of October 1, 2015.
This unit will be part of the Department of Mycology and will be directed by Guilhem Janbon, a Laboratory Head at the Institut Pasteur.
The unit will be set up for a first 5-year term which will run through to September 30, 2020.

- Creation of the Genomics and Epigenomics of Vertebrate Development Unit
Following the favorable opinion issued by the Scientific Council in December 2014, the Genomics and Epigenomics of Vertebrate Development (Génomique et épigénétique du développement des vertébrés) Unit was set up as of October 1, 2015.
This unit will be part of the Department of Developmental and Stem Cell Biology and will be directed by François Spitz, a Research Director at the Institut Pasteur.
The unit will be set up for a first 5-year term which will run through to September 30, 2020.
