Internal seminar by the Citech on CRISPR systems and technology

index.jpg On October 20, the Citech is hosting an internal seminar on CRISPR systems and technology, with a dozen short presentations by campus scientists working on the subject.

The morning will be devoted to studying CRISPRs in various bacteria, and will begin with a presentation by David Bikard (Synthetic Biology G5). The afternoon will focus on using CRISPRs for eukaryotic genome editing in various applications. The afternoon session will start at 1.30pm, with a presentation of the principles of this technology by Nadia Guettari (Sigma Aldrich) based on a more didactic approach and aimed particularly at students or any other people wishing to familiarize themselves with these new tools.

The seminar will conclude with a discussion led by the Citech on the value of creating a CRISPR service for the campus (access to cell banks, line creation, screening, etc.). Come along and take part!

The seminar will be held on October 20 from 10am to 5.30pm in the Jules Bordet room.
