New name: the Waste, Sterilization and Premises Maintenance Department (DSE) is now the Waste Management and Recycling Department (GVED)


The Waste, Sterilization and Premises Maintenance Department (DSE) is changing its name to the Waste Management and Recycling Department (GVED). The department will continue to be led by Abokouo Zago.

This department, part of the Department of Corporate Social Responsibility and Technical Resources (DRSE-RT) led by Nathalie Denoyés, provides the following services for campus:

•    Introducing and managing waste disposal systems for hazardous waste;
•    Introducing and managing recyclable material streams;
•    Collecting, processing, centralizing and organizing waste transportation before recycling;
•    Managing external waste recovery providers;
•    Supervising cleaning on campus via a cleaning company;
•    Sterilizing instruments, equipment, laboratory glassware and solutions for scientific departments;
•    Offering expertise and advice on waste sorting and disposal.

The GVED department has three units:

•    Waste – Recycling Unit
•    Waste – Sterilization Unit
•    Premises Maintenance Unit
