The DEI community is pleased to invite you to the upcoming DEI seminar, which will take place on March 19 from 2 to 3.30pm in the Jules Bordet room and via Teams, on the topic: "Ethics at the core of inclusive, diverse and fair use of AI: UNESCO's Recommendation on Ethics of Artificial Intelligence."
The guest speaker for this event will be Dafna Feinholz Klip, Head of Artificial Intelligence for Research, Ethics and Inclusion and Chief of the Bioethics and Ethics of Science Section in UNESCO's Social and Human Science Sector.
Dafna Feinholz leads different activities within UNESCO aiming at reinforcing capacities of Member States to manage bioethical challenges and to identify the ethical, legal and social implications of cutting-edge science and emerging technologies. She has played a leading role in the revision of the UNESCO Recommendation of Science and Scientific Researchers, the elaboration and adoption of the Declaration of ethical principles of climate change, and the recently adopted Recommendation on the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence. In her talk, she will present the Recommendation, which translates core values and principles into action with respect to data governance, environment, gender, education, research, and health, among many other spheres.
