For this year's "Fête de la Nature," which includes the International Day for Biological Diversity, the Institut Pasteur is organizing a special week with events on several nature-related topics, from May 19 to 23.
Save the date on May 22 to explore biodiversity on campus
On May 22, the Institut Pasteur will be holding a special day with a range of activities for the entire campus. Program:
• Information stand run by the CSR/RSE, GreenTeam and Ethics – in front of the canteen from 11.30am to 1.30pm
• Campus tours to explore local wildlife (registration required):
Birds at 9 and 10am
"Jardins de Louis" at 11am and 12 noon
Installation of insect hotels from 1.30 to 3pm, in half-hour slots. Please indicate your preferred slot when you register (1.30, 2 or 2.30pm)

A week to raise awareness with a series of lectures
A series of lectures and debates on ethics and biodiversity will take place in the OMICS Agora from Monday to Wednesday, from 1 to 2pm:
• Monday May 19: Environmentally friendly neurotechnologies? Ethics and environmental impacts – Angelina Mira D'Ercole (Legal Affairs Department – Ethics Unit)
• Tuesday May 20: Nature protection and ethics: participatory reflection on the short story La Vieille Anglaise et le continent – Jean-Claude Dupont (Legal Affairs Department – Ethics Unit) and François Bontems (Research Director (DR2) in the CNRS Structural Virology Unit at the Institut Pasteur and in the ICSN Department of Analytical and Structural Chemistry and Biology)
• Wednesday May 21: Law and ethics: allies of nature? – Anne-Laure Morin and Julie Allouche (Legal Affairs Department – Ethics Unit)

Also on the topic of biodiversity, note that the very first "Pasteur, Tomorrow" event will be held on June 5, 2025 in the Agnes Ullmann lecture hall, with the team from the Tara Océan Foundation, featuring an address by Henri Bourgeois Costa, Director of Public Affairs at the Tara Océan Foundation and a specialist in ecosystem geography.
