Open call for Erasmus+ projects: Become a host laboratory for the Erasmus+ program for science and medical students

The Institut Pasteur has established partnerships with several international European universities and alliances (such as EUGLOH) as part of the Erasmus+ program. With the launch of the newly created MD-PhD program, the Institut Pasteur also aims to welcome more medical students and MDs to the campus.

Erasmus+ program provides fellowships to students for a training period of up to 12 months. Students are selected by their home university and are allowed to choose their host laboratory in another European country.

In agreement with French laws, the host laboratory has to pay the student the required bonus ("gratification de stage", about 600 euros/month).

If you are interested in hosting an Erasmus+ science or medical student in your lab, please submit a short project using the forms that you can download below:

One form for science students

A separate form for medical students

If your project is open to both science and medical students, please fill out both forms.

Forms should be submitted in .doc or .docx format and sent to erasmus@pasteur.fr by September 19, 2025.

All proposals will be sent to the selected partner universities and will appear online if agreed.

Please note:
If your project is selected by a candidate, you will be contacted directly by the student. You are strongly recommended to request further information, interview potential trainees, and reject the application if not satisfied. Hosting an Erasmus+ student is the best way for you to preselect candidates for PhDs (including PPU or MD-PhD) in your lab.

Please note that each university has its own schedule for selecting students, so you may receive applications throughout the 2025-2026 academic year.
