A look back at Guest Researcher Day on October 11

On Thursday October 11, 2018, the Paris Public Hospital Network (AP-HP) and its 12 partners held the second edition of Guest Researcher Day. The guest researcher initiative enables professionals in the AP-HP (doctors or pharmacists) to carry out research or complete a thesis over a set period (1 to 3 years). Since 2012, the Institut Pasteur has recruited 25 guest researchers.

This event was a chance to foster links between representatives from host laboratories and practitioners from the AP-HP interested in applying for the scheme, while promoting the advantages, challenges and opportunities of the guest researcher initiative.

AP-HP CEO Martin Hirsch and Institut Pasteur President Stewart Cole introduced the afternoon.
After four presentations from former guest researchers and a round table about research in surgery, a "speed networking" session was held to give potential applicants the opportunity to meet representatives from host laboratories.
