Building on their complementary competencies, the two organizations intend to work together to develop synergies in remote-sensing applications, in particular for tele epidemiology.

Their collaboration will focus on developing methods based on space technologies designed for the fields of environment, climate and health monitoring to assist tracking and control of infectious diseases.

The Institut Pasteur is dedicated to preventing and combating diseases, particularly infectious diseases, through research, teaching and public health actions. It is at the hub of an international network of 33 institutes in 26 countries on all five continents, through which it forges research partnerships with third-party organizations likely to help it accomplish its missions.
