Carmen Buchrieser and Patrice Courvalin appointed as new members of the European Academy of Microbiology

6a00d8341c5e1453ef01a511d48a1e970c-300wi.jpg.png The European Academy of Microbiology (EAM), led by Prof. Philippe Sansonetti, is an initiative of the Federation of European Microbiological Societies (FEMS). Its mission is to promote excellence in microbiology in Europe through targeted programs and activities. Members of the academy are elected through a highly selective, peer-reviewed process, based on their records of scientific achievement and original contributions that have advanced microbiology.

 

The EAM has approximately a institutpasteur_40318.jpg research_007.jpg hundred members, including nine from the Institut Pasteur.

 

This year, Carmen Buchrieser, Head of the Biology of Intracellular Bacteria Unit, and Patrice Courvalin have been appointed as new members and will be joining the Academy.
