The training center in the HR Talent and Organization Development Department is running the following courses:
Understand the reasoning and calculations applied in Bayesian statistics intuitively, without needing to use complex mathematical formulas; learn how to quantify your knowledge.
Learn how to develop traditional models (regression, ANOVA, etc.) in a Bayesian context.
Dates: November 8-10, 2016
You can sign up for just the theory part or for the whole course.
Two half-days offering an introduction to sequence analysis (data banks, BLAST, multiple alignment, etc.).
Evolution models; parsimony, distance and maximum likelihood approaches.
Bayesian approaches.
Dates: November 14-25, 2016
"Designer" level (equivalent to the previous Level I) for certification in experimentation on rodents.
The training course is followed by an exam.
Dates: November 28 to December 9, 2016
Study of the general structure of an article
Linking ideas logically according to English and American expectations
Writing functional sentences, etc.
Dates: November 28-30 (A2-B1 Level) – December 12-14 (B2-C1 Level) 2016

The course is geared towards scientists, engineers, postdoctoral fellows and PhD students.
Dates: January 11 to March 25, 2017 (11 days), costs covered by the Institut Pasteur Training Plan
The costs of these courses are covered for Institut Pasteur staff under the Training Plan.
The costs of these courses are also covered for external (OREX) staff, except for the animal experimentation course, which should be covered by their supervisory authority.
