CORONAVIRUS

New measures in the Institut Pasteur's Progressive Business Resumption Plan from June 22

The Greater Paris region is now a "green zone," as announced on June 14 by the French President. In his address, the President said that the lockdown exit measures would be stepped up, given that the indicators appear to be moving in the right direction.

The Institut Pasteur is therefore moving ahead with the resumption of on-site activities by enabling staff to return to campus on a progressive basis before the start of the summer, as many of you are keen to do, while of course maintaining protective measures – physical distancing, hand washing and masks.

From June 22, the PBRP Committee is increasing the maximum daily staff presence rates on campus:

  • Teams working on priority COVID-19 activities: 75% of staff

  • Research teams not working on COVID-19: 75% of staff

  • Support staff on site: 75% of staff

  • Support and administrative staff still working from home on an occasional basis: 40% of staff

The following measures have also been adopted:

  • Staff will be required to work a minimum of two days a week on campus, with a maximum of three days working from home each week, on a temporary basis by way of derogation to the agreement on working from home concluded in January 2019, which provides for one day of home working per week. Presence on campus will be organized on a rotation basis within each team, in agreement with the team manager, to comply with the maximum staff presence rate for the team;

  • Individuals at risk of developing a severe form of COVID-19, as identified by the French High Council for Public Health (HCSP), should contact their family physician to obtain a medical opinion about whether they can come back to campus, then contact the Occupational Health Department (01 45 68 81 36);

  • Specific situations will be examined on a case-by-case basis by managers and local HR contacts.

External visitors will be allowed onto campus for professional reasons, up to three people per appointment, unless special permission has been given by the members of the Senior Management Board to exceed this number.

The previous rules for interns will continue to apply at this stage.

Finally, in-person meetings may be held again, as long as the participants comply with physical distancing measures (at least 1.5m apart) and wear a mask at all times. Signage will indicate the maximum number of people allowed for each room.

We would remind you that it is still compulsory to wear masks when walking between buildings and on all campus premises: shared offices, shared laboratories and meeting rooms. Masks are distributed every day from 9 to 10.30am and from 2 to 3pm in the modules under the company restaurant.

We know that we can rely on you to keep complying with all these guidelines, which have been introduced to protect staff, at a time when we need to remain cautious despite the favorable development of the epidemic situation in France.
