Attend the round table on "Gender, grant applications and success rates" on May 14

Money is needed to do research. Yet, women scientists apply for funding less often and receive fewer funds than their male peers. In our next event (Tuesday May 14 at 11am, Duclaux lecture hall and Teams), a collaboration between the Grants Office (GO) and Diversity-Equity-Inclusion group (DEI), we wish to encourage and support women to apply for grants at all career stages.

We invite you to join us for a round table around gender and grant success. Despoina Mademtzoglou, and Ksenia Bagrintseva (grant writing expert) from the Grants Office will briefly present the number of grant applications and grants success by gender at the Institut Pasteur, together with some suggestions to boost women’s success. Hanna Julienne from the DEI group will then moderate a discussion with a panel of female grantees at different career stages: Aude Bernheim, Laura Cantini, Claire Maudet Crepin, and Melanie Hamon.

We hope our round table will give you the key to a successful grant application and provide an opportunity to discuss strategies to decrease gender bias during grant reviews. To register, please add your name and email address to this form.

We hope lots of you can attend. Keep an eye on the Grant Finder!
