Report on the visit from the Institut Pasteur Korea on April 8 and 9

On April 8 and 9, the Institut Pasteur had the pleasure of welcoming a Korean delegation to strengthen its collaboration with the Institut Pasteur Korea.

For the event, Yasmine Belkaid, President of the Institut Pasteur, together with Odette Tomescu-Hatto, Executive Vice-President, International Affairs, and Rebecca Grais, Executive Director of the Pasteur Network, and Christophe d'Enfert, Senior Executive Scientific Vice-President, welcomed new CEO Dr. Sung-Key Jang, accompanied by Dr. Myung-Chul Lee, Chairman of the Board of Governors, and Dr. Dimitri Lavillette, Chief Scientific Officer, together with His Excellency Jai-Chul Choi, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to France.

This visit signals a milestone in the development of strategic partnerships and innovative projects between the Institut Pasteur in Paris and the Institut Pasteur Korea, both members of the Pasteur Network.

The two days of discussions clarified the Institut Pasteur Korea's priority research fields and provided an opportunity for fruitful talks on international collaboration, technology transfer and innovation. The aim is to strengthen collaboration between the two institutes, especially by encouraging visits by scientists from the Institut Pasteur to the Institut Pasteur Korea, as launched in 2023. As well as strengthening the French and Korean teams, these initiatives will pave the way for effective scientific dialog, thereby boosting prospects and expertise on both sides.
