  • Mélanie Hamon selected as a European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO) Young Investigator

The aim of the European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO) is to promote excellence in biology by supporting talented researchers at all stages of their careers, stimulating dialog and promoting the development of an outstanding scientific environment in the field of life sciences.

On December 8, EMBO published its list of the 26 scientists selected for the Young Investigators Award. They include Mélanie Hamon, Head of the Chromatin and Infection Unit who was honored for her research on epigenetic changes induced by bacteria..

These Young Investigators are chosen from among the best group leaders in Europe. Under the program, they will receive financial and practical support to help them further develop their group. A key aspect of the program is networking: the Young Investigators are given access to a dynamic, wide-ranging network of 368 scientists, all current and former recipients of EMBO awards. They also benefit from travel support for conferences.
