Next Start-up Breakfast on June 24, 2025: “Pitch your company: How to prepare your pitch to convince investors”

The next Start-up breakfast will be held on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at 9am at the room 11, 2nd floor, Pavillon Émile Roux, Institut Pasteur.  

The theme is “Pitch your company: How to prepare your pitch to convince investors”. The invited speaker is Matthieu Coutet, Partner, Biovelocita Strategy,Sofinnova Partners

Matthieu Coutet brings nealy 20 years of experience in venture capital and operations. His extensive portfolio includes a decade delicated to technology transfer, where he held important roles, such as the Head of the New Venture department at InsermTransfert and Managing Partner of InsermTransfert Initiative for about until 2014. During this period, he successfully compelted 14 seed-stage investments in innovative companies stemming from academic research. Thereafter, he served as a Vice president of Operations and Business Development for two French biotechnology startups: such as TherAchon (acquired by Pfizer) and Annapurna Therapeutics (merged with Adverum Biotechnology). He is also a Board Member of France Biotech. 

In 2016, Matthieu co-founded AdBio Partners, a firm dedicated to startup investments across Europe. Through AdBio Partners, he co-founded six biotechnology companies, identifying them during their early laboratory research phases and securing the necessary financing.  

In 2023, Matthieu joined Sofinnova Partners as a Partner in Biovelocita Strategy. His team’s extenstive expertise in science, entrepreneurship, and investment enable them to scale ealry-stage companies from academic concepts to industrial development.
