Creation of the Department of Technology and Scientific Programs: organizational structure and related decisions
- Creation of the Department of Technology and Scientific Programs
On June 1, 2018,
The Technology Department and the Department of Development – Grants Office were dissolved,
The Center for Innovation & Technological Research (Citech) was dissolved,
The Department of Technology and Scientific Programs (DTPS) was set up.
1. The Department of Technology and Scientific Programs is divided into three centers:
- the Center for Technology Resources and Research (C2RT)
- he Center for Animal Resources and Research (C2RA)
- the Incentive Scientific Programs Department (SPIS)
The Center for Technology Resources and Research (C2RT) is composed of:
- The Photonic BioImaging Technology and Service Unit (UTechS), which houses the Photonic BioImaging Technological Platform
- The Ultrastructural BioImaging UTechS
- The Mass Spectrometry for Biology UTechS, which houses the Proteomics Technological Platform
- The Cytometry and Biomarkers UTechS, which houses the Cytometry Technological Platform
- The Biomics Pole, which houses the Genomics Technological Platform and the Transcriptome and EpiGenome
- The Antibody Engineering Technological Platform
- The Recombinant Proteins Technological Platform
- The Molecular Biophysics Technological Platform
- The Crystallography Technological Platform
- The Chemogenomic and Biological Screening Technological Platform
- The newly created Biomaterials and Microfluidics Technological Platform
The composition of these structures remains the same. Their directors report to the Director of the DTPS.
The Center for Animal Resources and Research (C2RT) is composed of:
- The Central Animal Facility
- The Center for Production and Infection of Anopheles
- The Mouse Genetics Engineering Center
The composition of these structures remains the same. Their directors report to the Director of the DTPS.
2. Department affiliations
- The Grants Office is affiliated with the Scientific Secretariat General. Its composition remains the same.
- Two centers have been set up within the Research Applications and Industrial Relations Department (DARRI):
• the Innovation Detection Center
• the Innovation Development Center

- Appointments, affiliations and transfers following the creation of the Department of Technology and Scientific Programs
In accordance with organization memo 97, the following appointments, affiliations and transfers have taken place:
Following the decision taken by the Board of Directors on April 27, 2018, Christophe d'Enfert has been appointed as Director of the Department of Technology and Scientific Programs (DTPS).
Several other appointments and transfers within the DTPS have been decided. A number of appointments and transfers have also been decided within the Research Applications and Industrial Relations Department (DARRI).

- Creation of technological platforms in several technology and service units
On July 6, 2017, four technology and service units (UTechS) were set up. For three of them, a Head of Activities was appointed to manage some or all of the unit's activities; their tasks and responsibilities were discussed in the Works Committee on February 11, 2016.
To enable all Heads of Activities to manage their activities and staff effectively, the decision was taken to set up technological platforms within these UTechS units on June 1, 2018.
