Bulletin interne de l'Institut Pasteur
Since August 2021, the Institut Pasteur de Tunis has coordinated a project on SARS-CoV-2 infection in pregnant women in Tunisia. During the COVID-19 pandemic, pregnant women have represented a vulnerable population. Available data in the literature about the risk of mother-to-child transmission of the virus remains limited. The aim of the project is to conduct a prospective study to investigate the impact of SARS-CoV-2 infection on pregnant women and the potential direct consequences on their fetus or newborn. Over the course of the study, the participants will be monitored up to six weeks after the end of their pregnancy, as will their newborn babies.
