Agenda

Meeting on April 19, 2023 with the European Commission and the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research on international cooperation

A meeting of the European "Global Approach to Research and Innovation" expert group will take place in the François Jacob lecture hall on April 19, 2023, from 2.30 to 4.30pm. It will be open to all.

The expert group, currently co-chaired by France, is composed of representatives of the European Commission, the ministries of research of EU Member States and Horizon Europe associated countries, and civil society. Their tasks include coordinating national and European strategies for international cooperation in research and innovation (R&I) related to various geographical and thematic subjects, including: Africa, values and principles, scientific diplomacy, and multilateral initiatives.

The French Ministry of Higher Education and Research (MESR) was keen to set aside time to visit and hold discussions with the Institut Pasteur, given the shared areas of interest in terms of international R&I cooperation: global health/infectious diseases, cooperation with Africa, the Pasteur Network, etc.

The program for this half-day will include a presentation from the expert group, presentations on the Institut Pasteur's international cooperation strategy and examples of successful international cooperation at the Institut Pasteur. A contribution by the MESR on foreign interference will be included on the agenda for national and European strategies for international R&I cooperation.
