Bulletin interne de l'Institut Pasteur
On November 27, the first joint symposium between the Institut Pasteur and the Francis Crick Institute will be hosted via videoconference from 10am to 1.15pm, on the topic of COVID-19.
The Francis Crick Institute is a biomedical research center in London. It was set up in 2015 as a partnership between the following biomedical research organizations: Cancer Research UK, Imperial College London, King's College London, the Medical Research Council, University College London and the Wellcome Trust.
Much like the Institut Pasteur, the London-based institute has been actively involved in responding to COVID-19 since the start of the epidemic, drawing on its expertise and several state-of-the-art facilities.
To strengthen links and foster partnerships, this event, initiated by Professor Stewart Cole and Sir Paul Nurse, respectively President of the Institut Pasteur and Director of the Francis Crick Institute, will be an opportunity to discuss the research conducted and the progress made at the two research institutes to tackle the COVID-19 epidemic.
After an introduction by Professor Stewart Cole and Sir Paul Nurse, the symposium, organized by Brigitta Stockinger from the Francis Crick Institute, Felix Rey, Head of the Structural Virology Unit at the Institut Pasteur, and Christophe d'Enfert, Scientific Director of the Institut Pasteur, will include several presentations about the progress being made on both sides of the Channel in research on COVID-19.
Join the symposium via Zoom (Meeting ID: 628 6068 3855 / Passcode: 485619)
