World Food Day at the Institut Pasteur: a look back in pictures at an enjoyable and engaging day

Yesterday, to mark World Food Day, the Institut Pasteur campus came together to explore ways to embrace more healthy, sustainable, responsible eating. The event, organized by the Department of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR/RSE) and the Food section in the GreenTeam, was a resounding success, with large numbers of people coming to the canteen at 11.30am to take part in the activities and meet our new food service providers.

The service providers Foodles and API were present in the greenhouse at 1.15pm. This event gave rise to wide-ranging discussions and questions about where products come from, seasonal menus and reducing food waste.

The stands run by the Consortium of Organic Farmers in Greater Paris (GAB IdF) and the Altrimenti association also sparked much curiosity, offering anti-waste tips, zero-waste recipes, organic food tastings and discussions about local farming practices, and giving visitors an inspiring insight into real-world initiatives in their local area.

Finally, the teams from the CSR Department, the Waste Management and Recycling Department and the Food section in the GreenTeam presented the measures adopted on campus to promote more sustainable food practices, ranging from responsible eating to recycling organic waste and reducing packaging.
