The team ‘Evolutionary Genomics of RNA Viruses’ is pleased to announce the launch of a new internal webpage, auspice, to visualize phylogenies (virus, bacteria, genes…) in an interactive format using Nextstrain, an open-source platform. Set up by the Information Systems Department (DSI), this new tool is available to all Institut Pasteur members. It is part of scientific priority 1 “Infectious Disease Threats” of the Pasteur 2030 strategic plan.

The idea behind this platform is to allow one to quickly see which isolates of a given pathogen are available on campus.

The tool is only available on campus, or outside if connected via the Institut Pasteur VPN.

You can contribute!

Built as a crowdsourcing tool, the platform is available to everyone, and anyone can populate with isolates or pathogens. For the launch, only a selection of viruses and plasmids are available (no bacteria yet), so please feel free to contribute to its expansion. Your contribution(s) will make it useful to the scientific community!

Check this short guide for a brief tour of the tool this 30 sec introduction video
