•    Software Heritage & HAL: preserving your source code and research software to make them visible and citable

In-person workshop on Tuesday November 18, 2 to 3.30pm* in room 28.01.01.C in the François Jacob building (training in English).

How can we ensure that source code and research software is preserved and not lost? Have you heard of Software Heritage, the global software archive?

The CeRIS and Bertrand Néron, a research engineer in the Bioinformatics & Biostatistics Hub and an ambassador for Software Heritage, is running a workshop to:
-    present the advantages of Software Heritage
-    show you how to use it alongside your deposits on the HAL-Pasteur portal.

You will be able to familiarize yourself with the two archiving procedures by immediately applying what you have learned. 

The session is open to anyone who develops software. Please come along with a source code and/or software you would like to archive.

•   Remote training: Introduction to EndNote, level 1 – Thursday November 20, 2025 from 2 to 5pm* (in French)
 
Come along and discover EndNote 21 and find out how to save time when compiling a bibliography.
 
The session is a mixture of theory and practical hands-on training during which you can learn how to import references from databases, create and manage reference groups, attach pdfs to references, insert citations into a text and format a bibliography with EndNote. Don't stress – just sign up!
 
Aims of the training:
•    Learn how to manage your bibliography with the EndNote tool
•    Master the main features of the software
 
This training session is aimed at anyone who needs to manage and format bibliographical references and is keen to find out about EndNote or remind themselves of how it works.
 
Note: you must have EndNote (licensed software) on your computer.
 
It will take place remotely (via Microsoft Teams) in French.
