"Vivons Vélo": a generous sporting effort by the general public and Institut Pasteur staff
On Sunday October 12, to round off this year's season of the "Vivons Vélo" campaign run by Institut Pasteur partner and sponsor AG2R LA MONDIALE, cyclists from in and around Paris were given the opportunity to explore the Bois de Vincennes by bike, while showing their support for the Institut Pasteur's research.
With family or friends or on their own, the delighted participants pedaled past lakes and woodland – including the Lac de Gravelle and Lac des Minimes, as well as the Château de Vincennes –, while solving enigmas dotted along the 13km course.

As well as spending an enjoyable few hours with other keen cyclists, this event was an opportunity for participants to support the Institut Pasteur's research on neurodegenerative diseases. AG2R LA MONDIALE, which has organized a series of bike rides in France since the start of the year, pledged to donate €10 to the Institut Pasteur for each person who signed up for one of the rides.
At this final ride of the year in Paris, a €70,000 check for all the donations collected throughout 2025 was presented to Mariana Alonso from Professor Pierre-Marie Lledo's team, who was there to represent the Institut Pasteur.

Many thanks to all involved for their generosity, which combines sporting values – and a passion for cycling – with the values of research.
We hope to see you again in 2026 for next year's rides.
