Bulletin interne de l'Institut Pasteur
According to the WHO, antibiotic resistance is one of the most serious threats to global health and development today. The misuse of these drugs in humans and animals accelerates this process. The Surveillance of Antibio-Resistance in Africa (SARA) project, officially launched on July 2, aims to define the most appropriate strategies to fight antibiotic resistance in low-resource African countries. Through this project, coordinated with the Institut Pasteur de Madagascar, in collaboration with five members of the Pasteur Network and one of its privileged partners in Benin, the Institut Pasteur aims to set up a dedicated surveillance and research network with a "One Health" approach.
