  • 130 Years of Institut Pasteur: Celebrating Science, May 15-17, 2019

The Conference “130 Years of Institut Pasteur: Celebrating Science” is a key international meeting held at the Institut Pasteur that aims to celebrate the exciting scientific discoveries and advances in science achieved by thousands of people who have been working at the Institut Pasteur within the last 130 years.

This conference is organized at the Institut Pasteur (15-17 May 2019) and will cover the different research fields studied at the Institut Pasteur, spanning from infectious diseases to neuroscience, genetics, genomics, and bioinformatics, developmental biology, immunology and cell biology. Young scientists as well as established researchers from the Institut Pasteur, together with invited, world leaders in the different research fields, will present a wide range of current research highlights and future trends.

Organizers: David Bikard, Carmen Buchrieser, Jost Enninga, Marie-Lise Gougeon, Olivier Schwartz, Pauline Spéder, Moshe Yaniv

  • François Jacob Conference, Evolution, Structure and Function of Chromosomes High Order Structure, June 4-7, 2019

The development of technics to map long range contacts in chromosomes and improved imaging opened novel fields of research on chromosome evolution, structure and function. It became clear that long distance contacts are crucial for gene regulation during development and differentiation and their interruption can be associated with diseases. We wish to bring together scientists working on organisms spanning from bacteria to human with broad range of technics to discuss most recent progress in these fields.

  • 7th International Conference on Plasmodium vivax Research, June 26-28, 2019

Institut Pasteur, Paris will host the 7th International Conference on Plasmodium vivax Research (ICPVR) from Wednesday, June 26th to Friday, June 28th, 2019. The ICPVR will cover all areas of P. vivax research from basic biology, epidemiology and clinical research to public health. The conference will bring together researchers working on both fundamental questions related to P. vivax biology as well as translational research related to development of tools to prevent, treat and eliminate P. vivax malaria. Traditionally the conference has a single session held over 3 days with extensive poster sessions and some pre-conference workshops. Limited funding will be available for travel fellowships for students and junior researchers from malaria endemic countries whose abstracts are accepted for presentation.

Organizer: Chetan Chitnis
