Bulletin interne de l'Institut Pasteur
The Institut Pasteur is committed to securing the European "HR Excellence in Research Award," reflecting one of the cross-cutting priorities of the 2019-2023 Strategic Plan: "Work more effectively together and empower each individual so as to create an attractive, collaborative working environment."
The HR Excellence in Research Award is part of the European Commission's Human Resources Strategy for Researchers (HRS4R). It is awarded to research institutes that apply the principles of the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers. The Charter and Code lay down the roles, responsibilities and rights of researchers and their employers, based on four areas:
Ethical and professional aspects
Recruitment and selection
Working conditions and social security
Training and career development
What it means: This award will ensure that the Institut Pasteur is well placed to obtain European funding, while also boosting its visibility and global attractiveness.
In practice: The Human Resources Department has set up a project team led by the MAASCC welcome, support and career development structure for scientists. It is inviting all scientific staff (PhD students, post-doctoral fellows, scientists and engineers) and staff in support roles to take part in working groups, where they can share their thoughts and suggestions for improvement based on the four areas above.
