Stem Cell Initiative/QBIO joint symposium: “The Physics of Stem Cells” on November 14
The Institut Pasteur’s Stem Cell Initiative and QBIO are pleased to invite you to the 2025 annual meeting of the Institut Pasteur Stem Cell Initiative, taking place on 14 November from 1.30pm to 5.30pm in the François Jacob Auditorium.

The focus will be on ‘The Physics of Stem Cells’ with two external speakers:
• Meryem Baghdadi (Institut Necker Enfants Malades, INEM), who performed pioneering work on the impact of niche mechanics and stem cell behavior in the gut (Baghdadi et al. Science 2024)
• David Brückner (Biozentrum, University of Basel), who developed theoretical approaches to study how cell-cell interactions are involved in symmetry breaking and emergent behavior in multicellular systems
In addition, the program will include short talks and flash talks (the latter associated with a poster presentation) on work carried out on campus in all areas of stem cell research or using stem cells as tools.
These talks are great opportunities for postdocs and students to showcase their work.
Registration is free but mandatory.
You can use the same link to submit an abstract before 20 September, if you would like your work to be considered for a talk.
