On Tuesday, 20 January, on the occasion of “Virology Day 2026”, the Department of Virology will have the honour and pleasure of welcoming Ms Elisabeth Moreno for the opening lecture.

Elisabeth Moreno, a business leader, former executive in the technology sector, and former French Minister for Gender Equality, Diversity, and Equal Opportunities, will speak about how risk-taking, scientific innovation, and collective commitment are essential levers for addressing societal and environmental challenges. By encouraging people to be bold, she will show how transformation arises from audacity and the unique contribution of each individual.
