Yasmine Belkaid, winner of the 2026 Collen-Jeantet Prize for Translational Medicine
On January 15, the Louis-Jeantet Foundation awarded the 2026 Collen-Jeantet Prize for Translational Medicine to Yasmine Belkaid for revealing the complex interactions between the microbiota, nutrition, infections and the immune system and transforming our understanding of host defenses and tissue homeostasis.
The award ceremony will take place on Wednesday April 22, 2026 in Geneva.

This choice by the editorial team of the prestigious journal is a sign of recognition for the significant research carried out by Benoit Chassaing, the members of his team in the Microbiome-Host Interactions Unit and associated colleagues in improving our understanding of the microbiome and food addiction. The award was announced on the social media pages of the journal Gut.
