AG2R LA MONDIALE is organizing six "Vivons Vélo" bike rides in several towns and cities across France to give you the opportunity to get together with other cyclists and explore your local area. The first organized ride will take place on Saturday April 9.
For this first event in 2022, 20 towns have been selected by AG2R LA MONDIALE and the French Cycle Tourism Federation (FFVélo). On Saturday April 9, the bike rides for the "Vivons Vélo" community will take place in:
• La Valette-du-Var (Var)
• La Ville-aux-Dames (Indre-et-Loire)
• Lyon (Rhône)
• Istres (Bouches-du-Rhône)
• Marciac (Gers)
• Vallon-en-Sully (Allier)
• Riedisheim (Haut-Rhin)
• Gradignan (Gironde)
• Montpellier (Hérault)
• Rennes (Ille-et-Vilaine)
• Magalas (Hérault)
• Strasbourg (Bas-Rhin)
• Alixan (Drôme)
• Dunkerque (Nord)
• Fontaine-les-Grès (Aube)
• Saint-Georges-sur-Eure (Eure-et-Loir)
• Niort (Deux-Sèvres)
• Badonviller (Meurthe-et-Moselle)
• Chaulnes (Somme)
• Paris
The length of the route will vary between 21 and 30 kilometers depending on the town or city. The theme of this first ride is "The start of the new cycling season." Each ride is open to a maximum of 50 participants. So if you fancy exploring your local area by bike, sign up on the Vivons Vélo website. The website contains details about starting points and times.
As well as spending an enjoyable few hours with other keen cyclists, these organized bike rides are an opportunity for participants to support the Institut Pasteur's research on neurodegenerative diseases.
AG2R LA MONDIALE has once again pledged to convert every kilometer covered by the community into donations for the Institut Pasteur via use of the Vivons Vélo app throughout the year. The Group's aim is to raise €100,000 by the end of 2022. Since 2015, when "Vivons Vélo" was launched, €550,000 has already been raised by the 300,000 community members.
Over and above its strong sense of social responsibility, AG2R LA MONDIALE is also committed to the environment. Depending on the number of kilometers clocked up in the Vivons Vélo app, the Group will plant up to 5,000 trees in France in 2022.
