Report on the Institut Pasteur – Sorbonne Université Symposium held on March 27

In connection with the collaboration between the Institut Pasteur and Sorbonne Université, a joint symposium was held at the Institut Pasteur on March 27. Leading scientists from the two institutions gathered at the event to discuss key scientific challenges and strengthen cooperation.

After an opening address by the Institut Pasteur’s Senior Executive Scientific Vice President Patrick Trieu-Cuot and Sorbonne Université’s Vice President of Research Elisabeth Angel-Perez, a series of scientific conferences followed throughout the morning addressing topics such as virus-mosquito interactions, biomedical humanities, neuronal stem cells, synthetic biology, gene therapy, AI, integrons and antibiotic resistance, and beta-lactam mechanisms of action. The presentations showcased the outstanding research undertaken by Institut Pasteur and Sorbonne Université teams.

The second part of the symposium was devoted to round tables on research partnerships and advanced training opportunities. The inspiring discussions once again highlighted the importance of collaboration between the Institut Pasteur and Sorbonne Université in achieving excellence in research.
