WORKING LIFE

Strikes and public transport

Given the expected disruption to public transport (mainly SNCF trains) over the next few weeks, we would like to remind you of the provisions in place for staff members experiencing difficulties in getting to the Institut Pasteur:

  • broad tolerance regarding the times staff arrive and leave.

  • unexpected absences should be covered by a leave request – either paid leave, additional leave (ARTT), days not worked (JNT) or absences during core working hours (APF).

  • exceptionally, staff may be permitted to exceed the maximum deficit of hours usually authorized as part of the tailored flexitime system (with the proviso that they make up the time during the period following the strikes, when the maximum surplus hours limit will be temporarily removed).

  • occasional working from home for positions that lend themselves to this option, with line manager's permission (via email).

Activities requiring the constant presence of specific staff members will be examined on a case-by-case basis by unit heads and their local HR manager.

Other measures such as car-sharing may be introduced within units.

Finally, we would remind you that parking on campus (in underground car parks – limited spaces) is only permitted for staff members with prior authorization. Parking permission requests should be made via the Webcampus portal ("infos pratiques / applications informatiques à disposition /   parking / demande de stationnement" – only available via Firefox) - Télémaque.
