New technology at the Center for Human Immunology in the CRT

slide1.png The Centre for Human Immunology (CIH) - the CRT Technology Core - is pleased to announce that Simoa technology for quantification of low protein concentrations in biological samples is now available. The Simoa technology joins the protein detection and quantification systems Bioplex200 and DropArray systems that are already available in the CRT Technology Core.

Simoa, Single Molecule Array, is based upon the isolation of individual immunocomplexes on paramagnetic beads using standard ELISA reagents. In contrast to conventional immunoassays, it traps single molecules in femtoliter-sized wells, allowing for a “digital” readout.

The Center for Human Immunology is giving you the opportunity to discover and test this new technology at a seminar attended by Quanterix application specialist Paula Perin entitled "Simoa technology: NextGen Protein Quantification at single cell level", held on Monday April 24 at 9.30am in room 28-01-3C of the François Jacob building. There will also be a practical demonstration on April 24 and 25 at the Center for Human Immunology, again in the François Jacob building.
