The Institut Pasteur was a forerunner in supporting the creation and development of biotech companies, launching its first spin-off more than 25 years ago. The management team is pursuing its efforts to develop research applications by giving Institut Pasteur scientists and engineers the opportunity to get involved in the creation and/or operation of companies as a means of leveraging research results. This memo sets out the procedures to give Institut Pasteur scientists and engineers the opportunity to be involved in companies exploiting scientific research findings, as well as the necessary steps to be taken.

•    Support process for business start-up

One way in which the Institut Pasteur management team is pursuing its efforts to develop research applications is by introducing a dedicated support process to help launch innovative companies.

This memo sets out the procedures established by the Institut Pasteur to develop and support business ventures. The aim of these measures is to encourage business start-ups by providing tools for project leaders to help them successfully implement ventures that generate value and innovation.
