Register for the ceremony to present the winners of the first round of the "Chair of Excellence in Biology/Health" call for proposals on April 22 at 10am, attended by minister Sylvie Retailleau

The Healthcare Innovation 2030 Plan was launched in 2021 with the aim of establishing France's position as a reference in Europe and an innovative leader in healthcare. The plan is intended to strengthen biomedical research in all the areas it covers – from basic research in life sciences to translational and clinical research –, while supporting innovation and providing the resources needed to attract or maintain the world's best researchers in France.

One of the initiatives of the Healthcare Innovation Plan is the "Chair of Excellence in Biology/Health," aimed at giving leading researchers the opportunity to pursue or launch large-scale projects in France in highly attractive conditions. Around 50 chairs of excellence will be granted, with funding of up to €2 million over a five-year period. This initiative marks a major shift in the approach to French research funding that will have a significant impact.

The winners of the first round of the "Chairs of Excellence in Biology/Health" call for proposals will be announced on Monday April 22 on the Institut Pasteur campus. At the invitation of Yves Saint-Geours, Chairman of the Institut Pasteur Board of Governors, and Yasmine Belkaid, President of the Institut Pasteur, the ceremony will be attended by Sylvie Retailleau, Minister for Higher Education and Research.

All Institut Pasteur staff are invited to this event, which will be a high point in the life of French research and a tribute to our institute.
