Upcoming education webinar on April 20

The Department of Education, in collaboration with the Institut Pasteur Alumni Association and the Francophone University Agency (AUF) – Western Europe, is pleased to invite you to attend the latest in its series of "Education Webinars."

At this upcoming session, entitled "Outbreak analysis and modeling," you will have the opportunity to be online with Simon Cauchemez, Head of the Mathematical Modeling of Infectious Diseases Unit.

In this webinar, Simon Cauchemez will describe how mathematical and statistical modeling techniques are used to analyze the data collected during disease outbreaks, to describe and anticipate the spread of infectious agents in human populations, and to evaluate the impact of control measures. The presentation will be illustrated by examples from recent outbreaks (COVID-19, influenza, dengue, plague, etc.). The strengths and limitations of modeling approaches will also be discussed.

The webinar will take place on Thursday April 20, 2023, at 2pm (Paris time), via video conference.
