Antibiotic resistance event on September 26 with the participation of Jim O'Neill

The senior management would like to invite you to a round table on the question of antimicrobial resistance that will be held during former British minister Jim O'Neill's visit to the Institut Pasteur. The discussions will particularly look at economic challenges and funding for new therapeutic strategies. Jim O'Neill is an MP and economist who is known for his role as author of the Review on Antimicrobial Resistance, which raised international public awareness about this important issue.

After opening remarks by Stewart Cole and an introduction by Françoise Barré-Sinoussi, a round table will be held with a panel composed of Jim O'Neill, Céline Pulcini (AMR coordinator in the French Ministry of Health), Laurent Fraisse (EVP Infectious Diseases, Evotec), Yazdan Yazdanpanah (Director of Aviesan Institute of Immunology, Inflammation, Infectiology and Microbiology – ITMO I3M) and Aleks Engel (partner, Novo Repair). A closing address will be given by Edward Llewellyn, Ambassador of the United Kingdom to France.

The event will be held in the François Jacob lecture hall at 12 noon and will be followed by a cocktail reception.

We hope that as many as possible will be able to attend this event, which focuses on one of the priority areas for the Institut Pasteur over the coming years as identified in the Strategic Plan.
