Bulletin interne de l'Institut Pasteur
The latest issue of the quarterly newsletter for Institut Pasteur donors – the "Lettre de l'Institut Pasteur" (LIP) – contains a special feature on tackling disease outbreaks.
At a time when emerging infectious diseases like dengue and Zika represent a major risk for human health, the Institut Pasteur has decided to make this field a priority area in its Strategic Plan. Although it is impossible to predict where and when future disease outbreaks may occur, the Institut Pasteur is committed to being well prepared so that it can tackle them as effectively as possible, by improving knowledge of pathogens that may be responsible and developing tools to identify them. Over and above these research efforts, the Institut Pasteur and the Institut Pasteur International Network also play a major role in dealing with outbreaks in France and worldwide by monitoring infectious diseases and working in the field.

This latest edition of the LIP also has an overview of the Institut Pasteur's 2018 accounts.
