102nd issue of the "Lettre de l'Institut Pasteur" out now!

The latest issue of the quarterly newsletter for Institut Pasteur donors – the "Lettre de l'Institut Pasteur" (LIP) – contains a special feature on big data, a revolutionary development for health research. Recent technological progress means that phenomenal quantities of information are now being generated in biomedical research and medicine, ranging from observations using microscopy to medical images and genomic sequences. Scientists now have access to vast swathes of information which is stored, compared, cross-referenced and analyzed using increasingly powerful IT tools. This massive shift in scale represents an unprecedented opportunity to advance knowledge about human health.

The latest issue of the newsletter coincides perfectly with the inauguration of the Omics buildings on September 13 and reflects the Institut Pasteur's leading role in the innovative field of computational biology.
