Upcoming "Start-up breakfast" session on January 7

The next Start-up breakfast, the first of 2020, will be held on January 2020, Tuesday 7 at 8.30am in salle Duclaux second floor. Our guests are Aimée Wessel and Raphaël Tomasi.

Aimée Wessel received her Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin. After her Ph.D., she worked as a postdoc at Institut Pasteur on the genetics of biofilms. Raphaël Tomasi did his master’s study at ESPCI and He got his Ph.D. in the field of microfluidics from the LadHyx laboratory of Ecole Polytechnique and continued to do his postdoc in the same lab. Aimée and Raphaël worked together in the Physical Microfluidics and Bioengineering Lab which directed by Charles Baroud at Institut Pasteur and they decided to create a startup based on the Multiscreen technology for testing the efficacy of drugs. Recently they won from the iLab competition. Both of them are the regular participants of the Start-up breakfast and the Start-me up events.

Aimée and Raphaël will talk on the first steps to create a start-up, especially in a very competitive field.
