Upcoming training opportunities

The HR training center in the Talent and Organization Development Department is running the following courses:

 

  • "Business development and applications for biomedical innovation" with Pierre and Marie Curie University (UPMC) (university diploma) - In French:

- Find out more about the economic and regulatory context

- Work with or in the health industry

- Entrepreneurship in biomedicine

The course is geared towards scientists, engineers, postdoctoral fellows and PhD students.

Dates: January 11-March 25, 2017 (11 days)

 

  • "FlowJo software training" with the HCD Bioexperts training organization - In French/English

- Introduction: basic tools, compensation and transformation

- Advanced: advanced tools, questions and answers

Dates: January 17, 2017 (Introduction, in French); January 18, 2017 (Introduction, in English); January 19, 2017 (Advanced, in English)

 

  • "How to present your research at conferences and symposiums" with the Sciences Impact training organization (3 days) - In English

- Presenting at a conference or meeting

- Chairing a meeting or facilitating a workshop

Dates: January 25-27, 2017

 

  • "Giving an oral presentation of your research project" with the company Didaxis (2 days) - In French

- Present your research in a clear, structured and meaningful way

- Learn how to speak with a sincere, accurate and engaging style

- Understand the importance of eye contact, gestures and posture in communication

Dates: March 13-14, 2017

 

  • "Surgical techniques - rodent models" with the Vetsalius training organization - in French (course material available in English on request)

- Models for experimental surgery

- Organizing an experimental surgery laboratory

- Anesthesia and analgesia, monitoring, hemostasis

- Perioperative care

Dates: May 15-19, 2017 or September 4-8, 2017

The costs of these courses are covered for Institut Pasteur staff under the Training Plan.

The costs of the courses are also covered for external (OREX) staff (except for the experimental surgery course, for which funding will be requested from their supervisory authority).
